Bento (Ruka Sakurai X Reader) [Drabble]

Yellow eyes narrowed and darkened as his lips formed a thin line at the sight that currently greeted his eyes. (Name) who had come to the rooftop to eat had pulled out a rather large bento box, one that most likely contained more food than for someone of her size. Ruka knew that she didn’t accidentally make extra food and instead purposely made it so for him, she had said so herself that she’ll make extra for him ever since she caught him trading candy for food due to money being a little tight for him and Kou, especially at the end of each month.

“Uwahhh….It looks so delicious. You don’t mind if I take one, right?” Asked a male from their year whom the blond didn’t really care to know.

You, being the angel that you were, couldn’t say no even if your expression said otherwise as you nodded slowly and hesitantly, lifting up the bento box so that the male could take a piece.

“Thank you for the food!” With that, he picks up a piece of shrimp tempura with his thumb and forefinger and lifts it up to his mouth.

That was when Ruka finally struck, plucking the shrimp from his grasp one swift motion.

“Ehhhhh?!”

“R-Ruka?”

The blond sent a mischievous grin towards you before proceeding to devour the morsel, ignoring the complaints of the other male who had the nerve to go and try to eat what HIS (Name) had poured her care and effort into making early in the morning for them to share with each other.

“That was delicious, (Name). You don’t mind if I have more of the food you worked so hard to cook for the both of us, right?” The scathing words were obviously directed at the still unknown male as Ruka sent him a rather frightening smile which sent him off scurrying in a nervous sweat.

Once the younger Sakurai brother was sure that no one else would come and interrupt his little lunch date with (Name), he happily took a seat right next to her and proceeded to stuff himself with the food.

(Name) merely shook her head at her childhood friend’s antics, a small smile making its way to her lips, thinking that his reaction was like that because he was that hungry and she did promise that the extra would be for him. If only she knew that he acted that way not because of the bento itself, but rather because it was made by you…for him and he would be damned if he’d let anyone else have it!
